Janina Roider
In this series, created during her residency in Mallorca, Janina Roider explores the art of slowing down in a world dominated by rapid social media and AI-driven imagery. Through hybrid techniques combining AI-generated images, photography, acrylic, airbrush, and oil, she transforms fleeting impressions into layered, contemplative canvases. Her paintings resist linear narrative, reflecting a neurodivergent perception of the world and inviting viewers to pause, observe, and embrace ambiguity. Drawing on Spanish art traditions, fragments of thought, and associative titles in Spanish, Roider creates works that demand time, curiosity, and reflection, offering a meditative counterpoint to everyday speed.
