Louisa Clement and Charlie Stein
July 22 at 6 PM
at LOHAUS GALLERY
Two distinctive female voices in contemporary art, Louisa Clement (Bonn) and Charlie Stein (Berlin), will join us in Munich next Wednesday for an Artist Talk as part of our summer exhibition SUR REAL REAL. We warmly invite you to the conversation. Building on the exhibition's exploration of how digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and social media shape our understanding of reality, embodiment, and identity, the two artists will discuss their distinct artistic practices and recent bodies of work. Louisa Clement explores the boundaries of identity and presence through hyperreal avatars and synthetic bodies that blur the line between the human and the artificial. Charlie Stein combines painting, installation, text, and AI-supported processes to explore embodiment, intimacy, and digital aesthetics, examining the shifting relationship between physical and virtual space. Together, they will reflect on how contemporary technologies shape perception, our experience of the world, and the images through which we understand ourselves.
