across Iceland's rugged terrain, using precise computer mapping to guide a
laser beam that illuminated the fissure line. The resulting red laser line cuts
across lava fields, ascends volcanic formations, and disappears into geothermal
mists, creating a striking visual representation of Earth's dynamic crustal
movements.
