Belvedere 21 presents Magdalena Jetelová’s sculpture Tisch, from 1988 recently acquired for its collection, in the group exhibition Feminist Futures Forever.
The exhibition brings together works by artists from the Feminist Avant-Garde to the youngest generation. Its starting point is Kunst mit Eigen-Sinn. Internationale Ausstellung aktueller Kunst von Frauen, which took place in 1985 at what is now Belvedere 21. Revisiting this historical exhibition, Feminist Futures Forever explores the continuities of feminist movements, whose histories began long before the 1980s and remain relevant today.
Through a wide range of artistic positions, media and themes, the exhibition highlights the many voices that have shaped feminist art across generations. The works address social and political structures, questions of gender and ecological concerns. The expansion of the Belvedere’s collection plays a central role in this dialogue, bringing historical perspectives into conversation with contemporary practices.
The exhibition will be on view until 8 March 2027 on the ground and upper floors, in the Blickle Kino, the foyer and the sculpture garden at Belvedere 21.
